Qualifications

• Two years operating room experience or more is required or preferred.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course is expected.
• ORT certification is preferred for this role.
• Prior armed forces/public health service training in surgical technology is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the room and prepare it for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
