Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative and invasive procedures. The role focuses on scrubbing, instrument preparation and post-procedure room turnover in a hospital or ASC setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist course, and two years of OR experience. ORT certification and ASC experience are preferred, with training from military or public health programs also valuable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in U.S. armed forces, National Guard or U.S. Public Health Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
