Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will scrub on procedures, assist the surgeon with instrumentation, and help maintain a sterile field under supervision. The role emphasizes patient safety and teamwork in a pediatric setting.

The candidate should hold CST and BLS, with at least two years of experience preferred. This full-time onsite position includes a sign-on bonus and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Certification: CST and BLS are required.
• Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 2 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all major and minor surgical procedures.
• Participate in patient assessments during planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Perform circulating duties under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain operating room supplies and assist with education and orientation of staff.
• Ensure care for patients of all ages and contribute to hospital activities as directed.
