Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team during procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing on surgeries, patient assessments, and maintaining supplies while ensuring patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, an accredited Surgical Technologist program background, and certifications in CST and BLS. Previous experience in pediatric surgery or healthcare is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office.

This is a full-time position with a $10,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• 0 to 2 years relevant experience is preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician and Basic Life Support are required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all major and minor surgical procedures as assigned.
• Participates in patient assessments while planning and evaluating care.
• Performs circulating duties under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains operating room suite supplies and assists with staff orientation.
• Demonstrates knowledge necessary to address various patient needs.
• Participates in hospital activities as directed.
