Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is hiring a Surgical Technologist. The role supports surgeons and RNs by maintaining a sterile field, preparing supplies, and assisting in all intraoperative steps. On-call requirements and varied hours are part of the schedule.

Minimum qualifications include graduating from a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program or equivalent military program with BLS certification. Certification as a CST/TS-C is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or completion of a military surgical technology program.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST) is acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Set up the sterile table and ensure supplies, drugs and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges and instruments during surgery.
• Assist in gowning/gloving and draping; maintain aseptic field.
• Participate in intraoperative timeout and specimen handling.
• Answer patient calls and relay information to the provider.
