Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of the certificate or degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures using sterile technique.
• Provides surgical assistance and passes instruments to the surgeon.
• Maintains sterility and safety of the sterile field.
• Performs counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and supplies with a registered nurse circulator.
• Ensures proper draping, positioning, and transfer of patients as needed.
