• Prepares equipment and instruments using sterile technique.
• Performs sponge, sharps, and other required counts.
• Assists the surgeon with gowning, draping, and supplying instruments.
• Maintains an organized sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Applies dressings after procedures as appropriate.
• Assists as a second circulator in the operating room.
