Exeter, NH • Exeter Hospital • Full-time • DayWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.Assists surgical team before, during and after surgery with equipment and supplies.Job Description:Assists surgical team before, during and after surgery with equipment and supplies.Major Responsibilities:Prepares equipment and instruments on the back table and Mayo stand using sterile technique.Performs sponge, sharps, and other required counts with the circulating RN, as applicable.Assists the surgeon with: Gowning and gloving Draping Providing supplies and instruments throughout surgical proceduresCuts suture material, retracts tissue, and sponges tissue as directed by the surgeon.Maintains an organized sterile field with appropriate equipment and supplies throughout the procedure.Applies dressings at the completion of procedures, as appropriate.Adheres to universal precautions when: Removing draping materials Handling and containing instruments and equipment Managing linen and disposable itemsAssists as a second circulator in the operating room, as directed by the circulating RN.Picks surgical cases and updates preference cards.
