Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a Surgical Technology Program.
• Eligible to become nationally recognized as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• 1–2 years of surgery experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Ability to work with surgeons, nurses and team; communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery and ensure a sterile environment.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Gown and glove with the surgical team; perform the surgical scrub.
• Maintain inventory, count supplies, and document records accurately.
• Follow safety, infection prevention policies and unit procedures.
• Assist in cleaning, stocking work areas, and preparing the next case.
