CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. You will maintain aseptic technique, set up the OR, and pass instruments to the physician under RN supervision.

The role requires scrubbing multiple specialty areas and ensuring a safe, efficient surgical environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients, transporting them as needed, and upholding universal precautions and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program.

Responsabilités

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS Competencies and demonstrates leadership at the level of responsibility.
• Under direction of a professional nurse, performs all processes related to direct patient care and assistance in the OR.
• Ability to scrub 3 specialty areas (e.g., Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, etc.).
• Maintains sterile field, passes instruments, and assists as directed by the physician.
• Prepares the OR by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies for each case.
• Adheres to Universal Barrier Precautions and hospital sanitation policies.
