Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or current enrollment in Med Center Health's Surgical Tech Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and assists the surgeon during procedures; scrubs in, dons sterile gown and gloves, and maintains the sterile field.
• Inspects, maintains, and repairs surgical equipment; ensures inventory records are up to date.
• Assists in preparation and labeling of pathology specimens and aids in patient transport and care.
• Maintains counts during procedures and follows policies for accuracy; supports emergency response and ongoing professional development.
