Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in daily procedures. You will prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist with patient positioning and draping.

Ideal candidates hold a recognized surgical tech credential, BLS, and have experience with instrument counts and sterile technique in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date required (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Surgical Tech credential from NCCT before hire date.
• Surgical Tech credential from NBSTSA before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and instruments.
• Hand instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments and counts throughout procedures.
