Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the team at St. Vincent Warrick Hospital in Boonville, IN. You will work daytime hours in Surgical Services, preparing sterile fields and passing instruments to surgeons to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

You must have a BLS certification within 30 days of hire and a surgical tech credential (NCCT or NBSTSA). Education options include HS equivalency with experience or an associate/technical degree, with potential for tuition assistance and ongoing

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Surgical Tech credential (NCCT) or (NBSTSA) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-standard surgical suites by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and supplies.
• Anticipate needs by passing instruments to surgeons to keep operations flowing.
• Assist with patient preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping.
• Track and manage surgical instruments and counts throughout procedures.
