Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and organized.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout surgery.
• Count sponges and instruments pre and post-surgery.
• Assist with patient preparation before surgery.
• Handle specimens collected during surgery with care.
• Clean and restock the operating room for the next procedure.

Skills

Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization methods

Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stay calm under pressure

Education

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program
