Job summary

Ascension in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Main OR. You will prepare the operating suite, hand instruments to the surgeon, and assist with patient positioning during procedures.

The role requires BLS within 1 month and NCCT or NBSTSA credentials prior to hire. A high school diploma with 2 years’ experience or an associate/technical degree is needed, with potential for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NCCT or NBSTSA obtained prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and instruments.
• Hand required instruments to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
