Job summary

Abrazo Health Network in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our OR team on a part-time, days schedule.

As a Certified Surgical Tech, you will provide intra-operative support, maintain the sterile field, prepare operating rooms, and assist the surgical team in delivering safe patient care.

Call is required within 30 minutes of facility; CPR certification and two years hospital surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED; Certification as a Surgical Tech.
• Minimum Experience: Thorough knowledge of operative procedures, equipment and instrumentation.
• Preferred Experience: Two years of hospital surgical experience.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Certification as a Surgical Tech and CPR.
• Special Skills: Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative support as primary scrub person, handling instruments and equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and prepare operating rooms for surgery.
• Participate in department CQI activities and call may be required within 30 minutes of facility.
