Tenet-AZ Region in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our OR team. The position is staff, full-time, with a 40-hour workweek and 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms, scrubbing, assisting in nursing care, and ensuring sterile technique while coordinating with circulating nurses. CPR certification and ORT program completion are required; one year hospital/surgical experience preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required for all employees.
• Completion of formal Operating Room Technician (ORT) program for new hires.
• Thorough knowledge of operative procedures, equipment and instrumentation.
• Licensure/Certification: CPR.
• Experience: One year hospital/surgical background preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery and assist in scrub duties.
• Provide technical services and assist nursing care for surgical patients.
• Coordinate with nurses to supply instruments and maintain sterile technique.
• Monitor patient status and safety pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
• Document sponge, instrument, and needle counts and time-out procedures.
