Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. The role focuses on preparing the OR and sterile field, passing instruments, and maintaining strict aseptic technique to support patient safety.

Candidates should have CST certification and BLS, with training from an accredited surgical technology program; OR experience is preferred. This position emphasizes counts, specimen handling, room turnover, and instrument readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program: Required.
• Operating room or perioperative experience: Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, sterile field, instruments, supplies and equipment for each procedure.
• Function as the scrub person, passing instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and monitor the sterile field for breaks in sterility.
• Perform and verify instrument, sponge and sharps counts with the circulating nurse.
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to policy.
• Assist with room turnover, decontamination and preparation of instrumentation for sterilization.
