Formación

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification.
• Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire and prior to direct patient care.
• High School or GED equivalent; Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program; minimum 1 year CST experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures case has sterile supplies and equipment for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under the RN circulator supervision.
• Adheres to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.
