Job summary

River’s Edge Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist in our Surgical Services department. Under RN guidance, you will prepare and sterilize instruments, support surgeons, and participate in OR call duties to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes perioperative collaboration, infection control, and continuous learning in a dynamic hospital setting with rotating day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology and certification or eligible for certification within six months.
• Holds an AHA BLS certification.
• Experience with inventory and materials control preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand long hours and lift.
• Interest in patient care and sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients under supervision of RN.
• Process instruments for sterilization across departments.
• Assist with procedures in Surgical Services.
• Take OR call.
• Report relevant patient data to ensure perioperative needs are met.
