Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital seeks an Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative team dedicated to safe newborn care. The role involves preparing the surgical suite, supporting obstetric procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety in a high-quality setting.

You will work closely with surgeons and staff, maintain sterile technique, and participate in continuous training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate / GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for obstetric procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless obstetric experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
