Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking an Obstetric Surgical Technologist (PRN) to prepare the surgical suite, assist with obstetric procedures, and support the team to deliver safe, compassionate care for newborns.

The role emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, patient positioning, and seamless collaboration with the obstetric surgical team to ensure a high standard of care and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
• Associate Degree, or Certificate

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment and supplies for obstetric procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy and safety
• Provide instruments, equipment and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts and ensure instruments and equipment function properly
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands‑on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient‑centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
