Job summary

Franklin Hospital, part of MaineHealth, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for a full-time, 32-hour-per-week day shift. The role supports the OR team, assisting surgeons and OR RN during procedures, preparing instruments, and ensuring smooth, safe operations.

Current BCLS and NBSTSA certification are required within 6 months; NH licensure may apply for NH sites. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible experienced CSTs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
• Current BCLS and certification by the NBSTSA required within 6 months of start date.
• New Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification for NH locations.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist supports the surgeon and OR RN during surgical procedures.
• Prepare instruments and anticipate the next steps in surgery to keep operations safe and smooth.
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology

One year of experience preferred

Current BCLS certification

Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
