Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will support the surgical crew during procedures, ensure aseptic technique, prepare the OR, and manage instruments and counts.

This on-site role includes on-call shifts, with a day schedule and a $7,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Qualifications include graduation from a Surgical Technology Program, CST certification within 12 months of graduation or 6 months of hire, and BLS

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a recognized certifying body is required within 12 months of graduation or 6 months of hire.
• Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
• One year of related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative assistance to the surgical team.
• Maintain aseptic, safe, and properly equipped operative environment.
• Prepare the OR, supply instruments, and assist with sterile field maintenance.
• Handle instrument counts and turnover throughout procedures.
• Perform on-call duties as needed.
