Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare for procedures, gather instruments, maintain sterility, and assist the surgeon as needed throughout cases.

In this role you will also participate in post-procedure room turnover and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and restocked for subsequent cases. A strong foundational knowledge of OR protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of OhioHealth OR ST Fellowship or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist school preferred or equivalent military training or 10+ years’ experience as a Surgery Technician.
• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• ST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical cases by obtaining supplies, equipment and instruments and maintain a sterile field.
• Deliver instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assist as 2nd assistant; perform duties related to draping and exposure.
• Post-procedure cleaning of OR/equipment, restocking supplies and ensuring readiness for the next case.
