Qualifications

• Education must include a high school diploma/GED and an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent.
• Current CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C preferred; state-specific SC region certification may be required.
• Ability to complete skill validation, demonstrate customer service, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures under surgeon and RN supervision.
• Maintain sterile and aseptic technique to protect patient safety.
• Ensure operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
• Support physician performance of procedures to maximize patient outcomes.
