Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon under supervision to facilitate procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Ensure OR rooms, supplies and equipment are ready for perioperative processes.
• Verify sterility, prepare sterile instruments, sutures and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping; establish sterile field.
• Perform instrument, sharps and sponge counts with circulator and additional counts as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety throughout procedures.
