Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Surgical Technologist I-B (Competent) to join the NGH Operating Room team. This part-time role (20 hours/week) is onsite in Nash, NC, with a day schedule and standard preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative duties.

You'll work under RN supervision, maintaining sterile technique and supporting patient care. The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• NBSTSA certification or NCCT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and ensure sterile environment throughout procedures.
• Prepare instruments and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Assist surgeons and care for patients preoperatively and postoperatively in the OR and ambulatory settings.
