Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the NGH 2E Labor and Delivery team on a per diem basis. You will assist in preparing and caring for surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgeon during procedures.

Required: Graduation from a Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, and BLS. Prior clinical experience preferred; 4 hours per week schedule; onsite work at Nash Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Surgical Technology program or military equivalent considered.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• BLS certification required to practice.
• Active licensure/certification per facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and care for surgical patients under the direction of a nurse and surgeon.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety during procedures.
