Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the NGH Central Service & Supply team in an onsite, full-time role. The position supports preoperative and postoperative care in both OR and ambulatory settings, with emphasis on sterile technique and instrument readiness.

New graduates are welcome; BLS certification is required. You will work 40 hours per week, day schedule, at Nash Hospitals facilities, contributing to high-quality patient care across Nash County and surrounding

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Surgical Technology program completion is required.
• New graduates with up to 12 months of full-time equivalent experience in surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Establish sterile field and maintain sterile environment.
• Prepare operating room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Assist surgeon during procedures and pass instruments.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles and instruments according to policy.
• Rotate shifts and take calls as required.
