Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. The role focuses on aseptic technique, preparing the OR, and supporting the team throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, BLS certification, and CST/TS-Certification approvals. Experience of 1 year preferred; bonus eligible up to $5,000 for external applicants.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Must be certified by BLS and one of CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT
• Registered CST with the Virginia Board of Medicine if currently residing in Virginia

Responsabilités

• Assemble supplies and equipment required for the operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report any implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated by procedure.
• Assist with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative or invasive procedure room.
• Demonstrate understanding of patients Advance Directives
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, lasers, MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics
