Job summary

STCH-Sutter Tracy Community Hosp is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the sterile field, set up instruments, and assist surgeons throughout procedures.

You will help gown and glove surgeons, pass instruments, hold retractors, and anticipate needs while maintaining safety and compliance with all regulations. Competitive benefits and a clear path for certification incentives may be available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or certification evidences education.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required; Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, NRST) eligible for incentive per union contract.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the sterile field and set up sterile instruments.
• Assist surgeons with gowning, gloving, and draping.
• Pass instruments and supplies during operations.
• Hold retractors and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance and setup.
• Adhere to privacy and safety regulations per regulations.
• May orient other staff to the department.
