Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or certification evidencing education.
• Military training as a scrub tech is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile field for surgical operations and set up sterile instruments.
• Assist surgeons in gowning, gloving, and draping patients.
• Pass instruments and supplies, hold retractors, and anticipate surgeons' needs during surgery.
• Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations and safety policies; may orient other staff.
