Job summary

Orthowisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role requires scrubbing on all cases, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting with opening supplies and equipment for procedures.

You will set up operative fields, prepare for upcoming cases, anticipate team needs, and handle specimens per policy. Training is available for new graduates, with BLS required within 6 months and potential ASC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program; CST preferred.
• Will train recent graduates; ASC experience 2 yrs preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Internships – enrolled in an accredited program when hired for internship

Responsibilities

• Set up operative fields and arrange instrumentation and supplies per surgeon's card.
• Prepare for the next day’s procedures by pulling cases and labeling needs list.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team.
• Handle specimens per center policies and procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and properly handle and store instruments.
• Prepare and transport sterile and contaminated instruments to Decontam for processing.
• Assist in center suite maintenance including case prep, turnover and cleaning.
• Assist with inventory control and stocking of supplies.
