Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Care Center Danvers is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to join a four-day work week in an ambulatory surgery setting. The role supports the surgical team, prepares instrumentation and supplies, and ensures aseptic technique throughout procedures.

You will work Monday-Thursday, 7am-4:30pm, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with physicians and perioperative staff. Certification and BCLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience
• 0–1 year of experience required
• Must meet all requirements to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Massachusetts
• Certification obtained within one year of completing an accredited Surgical Technology program
• AHA BCLS certification required

Responsabilités

• Review procedure cards and surgeon preference cards to prepare for each surgical procedure
• Assist and collaborate with the circulating nurse to set up procedures with proper instrumentation, equipment, and supplies
• Pass instruments and perform retraction for the surgeon at the sterile field as directed
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist in care, cleaning, and maintenance of instruments, equipment, and supplies according to guidelines
• Assist with inventory management of supplies in operating rooms and storerooms
• Assist with patient transport and movement of equipment as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Participate in WHO Checklist, hand hygiene, and quality and safety initiatives
• Participate in turnover goals and on-time starts
• Participate in on-call rotation for specified nights, weekends, and holidays
