Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's BILH Care Center in Danvers, MA is hiring a Surgical Technologist I to support safe, efficient intraoperative care across pediatric to geriatric patients. You will assist the circulating nurse, prepare instrumentation, maintain sterile field, and collaborate with surgeons and team members in a four-day, 9-hour shift schedule.

Qualified graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program, MA practice eligibility, and BCLS certification are required, with compensation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of experience required.
• Certification obtained within one year of completing an accredited Surgical Technology program; AHA BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review procedure cards and surgeon preference cards to prepare for each surgical procedure.
• Assist and collaborate with the circulating nurse to set up procedures with proper instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Pass instruments and perform retraction for the surgeon at the sterile field as directed.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with inventory management of supplies in operating rooms and storerooms.
