Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Surgical Technologist for full-time evenings in Lake Forest, IL. The role requires CST certification within 12 months and CPR/BLS, with a 40-hour work week and an evening schedule 3:00pm-11:30pm, plus occasional on-call shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, handling instruments and implants, assisting with patient positioning, passing instruments, and processing specimens as needed. Competitive benefits are offered.

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, medications, solutions, instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies. Ensures availability and functionality of equipment and instruments.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens, if required, for delivery to the laboratory.

• Salary Range Maximum: $36.44
• Compensation: USD 24.29 - USD 36.44 - hourly

This position will be Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-11:30pm Additionally, there will be 4-5 call requirement shifts within a 6-week period.
