Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This PRN position offers varied shifts with no night, weekend, or holiday requirements.

The role requires assembling sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs, and maintaining instrument and specimen handling while collaborating with the team to promote patient safety. BLS is required; CST preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience is required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience is required; BLS is required; CST preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
