Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a PRN, various shift position with no call requirement, and the candidate would not work nights, weekends, or holidays.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
