Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the Flex Team on a PRN basis. A full-time candidate is required to work three 10-hour shifts weekly, including weekends.

The role involves floating between campuses, supporting the operating room team with sterile setup and patient safety. The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology and is CST/NBCC preferred but not required; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up sterile fields for operative procedures.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist the team.
• Fosters patient safety and efficient case progression.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and prepare accordingly.
• Ensure proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote safety.
