Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a PRN position with varied shifts and no call requirement, and you would not work nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring safe handling of specimens and instruments while collaborating with the team to minimize anesthesia time.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year surgical technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
