Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a PRN various shift position located in Fleming Island, FL, with no call requirement and no night, weekend, or holiday work.

The role requires an Associate's degree, BLS, and CST is preferred but not required. As part of our Surgical Services, you will assemble and maintain sterile fields, anticipate surgeon needs, handle specimens, and collaborate with the

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
