Job summary

Duke University Health System's Duke GI-Endoscopy at Brier Creek seeks Surgical Technologists to support sterile technique and patient care from infancy to geriatrics under RN supervision.

This role covers Level I and II responsibilities, with a Monday–Friday day schedule and no weekends, offering growth as you advance through Level I to Level II within Duke Health's outpatient settings in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Level I - Entry level position for new graduates or 0 to 18 months experience. BLS required.
• Level II - Requires 6 to 12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology or relevant military experience. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains sterile field and ensures sterile environment.
• Prepares operating room with instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrates correct instrument passing and performs counts.
• Take calls and rotate shifts under the direction of RN or physician.
• Assists with ambulatory procedures and clinic settings as needed.
