Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will prepare and maintain equipment, set up instruments and sterile supplies, and assist the surgical team before and during procedures.

You will position patients, monitor vital signs, pass instruments, handle specimens, and help with post-operative cleanup. CPR certification is required, and 1+ year experience in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular settings is

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate care appropriate to patient age.
• Knowledge of growth and development and ability to assess age-specific needs.
• Knowledge and skills in the nursing process.
• Ability to communicate through recognized channels.
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for procedures.
• Sets up instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Performs pre-operation skin prep and equipment checks.
• Assembles necessary equipment and ensures proper functioning.
• Gets patients ready for surgery and assists with sterile fields.
• Positions patients and assists with drapes and gowns.
• Monitors vital signs and supports the surgical team.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants.
• Assists with specimens and post-op cleanup and restock.
