Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under surgeons and nurses. The role involves preparing equipment, setting up the OR, and assisting during procedures to ensure patient safety and sterility.

Requires CPR certification (or within 90 days of hire) and at least 1 year in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular settings preferred. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to perform CPR or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year experience in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular preferred.
• Knowledge of over the wire experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up the operating room with instruments, sterile drapes and solutions before operations.
• Performs pre-operation skin preparation and equipment checks.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and verifies functionality.
• Gets patients ready for surgery by prepping skin, shaving, and disinfection.
• Transports patients to the OR, positions them, and covers with sterile drapes.
• Monitors vital signs and assists team with gowns and gloves.
• Passes instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and assistants.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment.
• Post-operation: transfers patient to recovery and restocks OR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
