Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Certified CST from NBSTSA.
• BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Uncertified Techs have 18 months to provide proof of certification.
• THOfNE gives 1 chance to pass licensure exam.
• Minimum one year of scrub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and unsterile supplies and equipment.
• Transport patients and assist with transferring from stretcher to table and vice versa.
• Assist with lifting and positioning patients.
• Report unusual occurrences to the OR Director or designee.
• Cross-training between Main OR and Ambulatory Unit.
