Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Cushing, OK is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for day shift, PRN. The role supports the surgical team under physician and RN supervision, prepares sterile instruments, and maintains sterile technique to ensure patient safety.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and hold BLS; one year of CST experience is preferred. This position is located at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing, a 99-bed community facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Sterile Technique knowledge.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• 1 year of Surgical Tech experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Accountable for performing as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
