Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK seeks a Certified Surgical Tech for a mid-day shift, full-time role. You will assist the surgical team, maintain sterile technique, and support patient care throughout operative procedures.

The position requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, and a high school diploma or GED. BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist.
• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, and anatomy and physiology.
• Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and outcomes.
• Understand surgery schedule workflow and be available for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning.

Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:

• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
