Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for day shift and PRN coverage in Cushing, OK. The role supports surgical teams under physician and RN supervision, ensuring sterile technique and proper instrument handling.

The position requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, knowledge of sterile technique, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Sterile Technique knowledge.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Accountable for performing as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
