Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a day shift, PRN position at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing in Cushing, Oklahoma. You will provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse, and you will be the primary scrub person handling instruments during procedures.

You will work in a 99-bed community hospital with 24-hour emergency services and a range of surgical services, and you will contribute to patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Sterile technique knowledge.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Accountable for performing as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
